The Fullness of Christmas

We placed the star above the tree- like the star the wise men followed.

We told stories of Santa- how he knows us, judges us, comes to us, gifts us.

We sang songs and baked cookies.

We sent cards and wrote texts.

We were merry.

But “These are a shadow of the things that were to come;

the reality, however, is found in Christ.”

“Christ is the image of the invisible God,”

“For in Christ all the fullness of The Deity lives in bodily form,”

Something previously understood as indescribable,

Is now seen in its fullness.

“But when the set time had fully come, God sent Him,

born of a woman, born under the law,

to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.”

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us,

so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”

“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”
